Pumkin Chunkin Palooza Weekend at the Lake
It’s that time of year again! Join us at the Ozarks Amphitheater this weekend for the annual family-friendly fall festival, Pumkin Chunkin Palooza. The event kicks off on Friday, September 23rd with the Lake of the Ozarks Got Talent Show and continues Saturday, September 24th with the official Pumkin Chunkin event. What is pumpkin chunking you might ask? Well, keep reading, because our Lake of the Ozarks vacation rental company is bringing you all the details you need for this weekend’s main event.
Lake of the Ozarks Got Talent
Grab your tickets for the Lake of the Ozarks Got Talent Show presented by the Pumpkin Chunkin Palooza. The talent show takes place this Friday night, September 23rd – gates open at 6:00pm and performances start at 7:00pm. Audience members receive two ballots with the purchase of a $20 ticket which includes one vote for the first round and one vote for the final round. There are $5000 in prizes to be won from the top 3 contestants: first place receives $3,000, second place receives $1,500, and third place receives $500. All proceeds from the Got Talent show benefit local charities including Share the Harvest Food Pantry, Lake Area Industries, and Westlake Aquatic Center.

Pumkin Chunkin Palooza
The family fun carries on into the weekend with the annual
Pumkin Chunkin Palooza event. Stop by the Ozarks Amphitheater on Saturday,
September 24th between 10am and 4:30pm for this celebrated Lake of
the Ozarks fall festival. Bring the kids along to experience face painting, a
petting zoo, bounce houses, pumpkin decorating, pirate shows, magic shows, and
more!
Pumpkins will be flying at the trebuchet contest from 11am to 4pm with launches every hour on the hour. There will also be food and beverage vendors and a sidewalk art contest.
Feeling hungry? Get your fill at the pie eating contest which
starts at 1pm. Make sure to register that morning when you arrive because 5
lucky people will be chosen to participate. The first person to finish all 3
pies wins a trophy and bragging rights! You must be 18 to enter the contest.
